A teacher affects eternity: He can never tell where his influence stops.
Henry Adams
The Henry County (Georgia) Retired Educators Association is a local unit of the Georgia Retired Educators Association established in 1958. HCREA was established in Henry County, Georgia, in 1970. We are a growing force with over 325 members locally and 800+ members in the GREA organization! "Fellowship..Support..Service" is our motto. Members of HCREA/GREA are afforded the opportunity of benefits such as lower rates on dental and vision insurance, long-term care insurance, and travel opportunities to name a few. GREA and its members are the active voice for all retired educators with the Georgia state legislature and the Teacher Retirement System of Georgia.
Every spring HCREA presents high school and college students from Henry County with scholarships to assist them in their quest for a degree in education.
Information and applications for HCREA education scholarships can be found HERE.
GREA also awards education scholarships for certified and classified educators.
